- Operation Feed The Troops - ISRAEL

It was a little after 6 a.m. on Sunday. My wife and I had gotten up early to cook for my children, who were sleeping upstairs because it was their day off. When we learned that Israel had been invaded, our children, like everyone else, awoke to phone calls, and our 18-year-old son, 20-year-old daughter, and her fiance were ordered to "work" or to serve in the Israeli army and fight in the battle. As we watched our children leave the house and head off to war and the severity of the situation became clear, my wife and I, along with our closest friends Gadi and his wife began to feel helpless. We decided to post on Instagram, a open invitation if anybody was in need warm food they could contact us. We immediately had hundreds of requests from soldiers and security personal in the field, many of whom were reserves stationed at a high altitude. We did everything we could to help the men and women in the service. So, with 10 volunteers, we immediately started cooking and preparing.

A request for 470 dinners was received the next day. We begin by waking up at 4:30 a.m. Friends, other business owners, parents, grandparents, and people of the community offered to help us in creating and delivering the meals using 12 vehicles. As the day went on, we organized a kitchen for the purpose of making up to 1000 kosher hot meals for delivery to soldiers and security forces in and around the the Northern Israel Borders. Naturally, there is no fee for the troops, and everyone donates their time as volunteers.

We are Ohad and Gadi, and we are working hard to organize free meals for soldiers around Northern Israel to "Feed the Troops and provide whatever supplies necessary for them to be comfortable and safe. Recently, the unexpected addition of 300,000 reserve troops—many of which have come to Israel from afar—has brought to our attention an enormous demand on them. We are working to provide a solution however so far we have recieved warm socks, thermal undershirts and pants and have much more on the way. This help is important and means a lot ot our soldiers, security forces and reservists. Thank you for considering to donate.
