Operation Cosmo

Cosmo unexpectedly starting vomiting and shaking yesterday.  We brought him to the emergency vet and they found fluid and inflammation in his stomach that they think might be from a perforated bowel. They told us the cost of the exploratory surgery would be $10,000 and that he would not survive without surgical intervention.  We could not afford the price they quoted us so we thought we were going to be forced to put him down.  But when we arrived at the VEC to say goodbye he was alert, eating and full of kisses.  He isn’t ready to say goodbye and neither are we! We’re going to take him home for the weekend and see if we can find somewhere less expensive to do the surgery. In the meantime we’re reaching out to see if any of you might be able to help with the cost of the surgery.  We hate to have to ask but, we’re willing to try everything we can to keep this little guy around. ❤️
