Operation Bring Gizzy Home
Help us reunite our family across the globe
Hello friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,
My name is Krystal, and I’m an active duty military member currently stationed in Okinawa, Japan. Our family is preparing for a permanent change of station (PCS) to Jacksonville, North Carolina this summer. While the military takes care of moving our household, they unfortunately do not cover transportation for pets — and that includes our beloved 12-year-old Yorkshire Terrier, Gizzy.
Gizzy has been with us since he was a puppy. He’s not just a pet — he’s part of our family. For over a decade, he's been by our side through deployments, moves, and all of life’s challenges and milestones. Leaving him behind is not an option, but the cost to safely fly him home is overwhelming.
Pet relocation from overseas (especially from Japan) is complex and expensive. Between airfare, customs, vet clearances, and boarding logistics, we are looking at an estimated cost of $3,000 to get Gizzy home safely and comfortably.
We’re humbly asking for your support — any amount helps, and even just sharing this message means the world to us.
Please consider being a part of Operation Bring Gizzy Home and helping us keep our family whole. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support of military families like ours.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Krystal, Kayla, Jailynn, Cameron and
Gizzy
