My name is Hortensia Castrejón Villalobos, I am an elderly woman, and I am reaching out to you with my heart in my hand to ask for your support during one of the most difficult moments of my life.

On October 20, 2025, I was diagnosed with liver cancer. Medical studies revealed the presence of a malignant tumor measuring 7 centimeters, located in segments VI and VII of the liver. Due to its position and because I suffer from diabetes, the surgeon explained that a traditional operation would not be possible, as my body would not withstand such a procedure.

However, my doctor offered me two medical alternatives that could give me hope:

Liver ablation, a procedure in which cancer cells are destroyed by applying heat directly to the tumor, using special needles guided by medical imaging.

TACE (Transarterial Chemoembolization), a less invasive treatment that involves delivering chemotherapy drugs directly into the artery feeding the tumor, while blocking blood flow to it in order to stop its growth.

Both options represent my only chance for treatment, but they also pose a great financial challenge, as the approximate cost is 250,000 MXN an approximate $14,000 USD —an amount far beyond my means and those of my family, who have very limited resources.

Furthermore, my doctor has informed me that I must undergo the procedure within the next three weeks, as the tumor is growing rapidly and could endanger my life.

For this reason, I turn to you with humility and hope, asking for your support to cover all or part of the treatment cost.

Any help you can offer will be received with deep gratitude, as it would represent a chance for me to continue living.
