Mi tío Oswaldo necesita ser operado
Su nombre es Oswaldo Vielma Anaya y requiere hacerse una operación para remover su glándula tiroides. El crecimiento anormal de uno de los lóbulos está obstaculizando la vía respiratoria, y también el otro lóbulo presenta nódulos.
Mis primas, Ana Teresa Vielma y Mariangel Vielma, necesita de esta ayuda económica para costear la operación de su padre. Él vive en el estado Mérida en Venezuela, y por las condiciones actuales del país es muy costoso para sus hijas cubrir los gastos de la cirugía, por eso decidimos solicitar un apoyo económico.
Mi tío Oswaldo comenzó a presentar síntomas de dificultad respiratoria a principios de 2020, y entre varias consultas médicas los especialistas determinaron que hay un aumento de volumen de la glándula tiroides ubicada en el cuello. En diciembre le fue realizado un estudio denominado Punción Aspiración con Aguja Fina (PAAF) guiado por ultrasonido. El estudio arrojó como resultado: lesión nodular, adherida a planos profundos del lóbulo tiroideo, siendo benigna y presentando áreas quísticas. El nódulo del lóbulo izquierdo mide: 2,51*1,64*1,77 cm; el nódulo del lóbulo derecho mide: 1,5*1,5*1,6.
Por el rápido crecimiento que ha desarrollado en poco tiempo y la dificultad para respirar, los médicos determinaron que es necesario extraer la tiroides. La acción inmediata es realizar una tiroidectomía total, que aliviará su situación actual y así mejorará la respiración. Sin embargo, el procedimiento quirúrgico implica tratamiento hormonal complementario de por vida con Eutirox luego de la extracción de la glándula.
Dada la actual situación sanitaria en Venezuela, además de la contingencia hospitalaria por el COVID-19, se solicitó presupuesto en un centro clínico privado para que sea cuanto antes su intervención quirúrgica. Por todos estos motivos hemos iniciado esta recaudación de fondos, para la pronta recuperación de la salud mi tío Oswaldo.

The study yielded as a result: nodular lesion, adhered to deep planes of the thyroid lobe, being benign and presenting cystic areas. The nodule of the left lobe measures: 2.51 * 1.64 * 1.77 cm; the nodule of the right lobe measures: 1.5 * 1.5 * 1.6.
Due to the rapid growth that it has developed in a short time and the difficulty in breathing, the doctors determined that it is necessary to remove the thyroid. The immediate action is to perform a total thyroidectomy, which will alleviate your current situation and thus improve breathing. However, the surgical procedure involves life-long supplemental hormonal treatment with Euthyrox after removal of the gland.
Given the current health situation in Venezuela, in addition to the hospital contingency due to COVID-19, a budget was requested in a private clinical center so that his surgical intervention could be carried out as soon as possible. For all these reasons we have started this fundraising for the speedy recovery of my uncle Oswaldo's health.
