Hi! It's Fozias! For those who don't know me, I am currently in the process of re vamping an old venue called Club Barcelona in the Grand Central Hall on Renshaw Street l, Liverpool.

I think this is a fabulous venue, full of character, history and charm. When I stumbled across it earlier this year, I realised it had great potential for a wedding venue, events venue and even a fabulous eatery. It had been closed for nearly 8years and was rotting, mouldy and dilapidated.

But I loved It's character!

For those who don't know me, I started my food story, cooking in a local cafe, then started up a takeaway in a shipping container selling home cooked Pakistani food. I expanded into a restaurant as we quickly outgrew the shipping container as we did a huge amount of catering for weddings and events. We have been running the restaurant for over 3years and am now ready for the next challenge. This was the fabulous venue I came across.

We have started a lot of work, cleaning out a lot of old stuff, and have been working with the landlords to keep as much of the characteristics of the venue alive. We are nearly there now, but as we were selling our restaurant, which we hoped would have funded the new premises, only to be told recently by our landlord that we basically cannot sell our business. This has left us short on funds to complete our project.

We would be extremely grateful for any funds that you can put forward and hopefully once we are open, aiming for New Years Eve, we will be happy to donate some of our delicious food to a charity organisation.
