open the doors to the public at Che Quoine Feat. R-Pizza

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Faren Earring... I'm the new owner of Che Quoine Feat. R-Pizza... I graduated from Vermillion High School, Class of 98. Went to culinary school at the Le Cordon Bleu in Minneapolis MN, opened a food truck in Sioux Falls, SD in 2012. I wanted to expand the food truck into a location, took on some silent partners... and working partners in my attempts at getting to the ultimate goal of a great location for some great, local food, that has a food truck, that can also travel and bring the good eats to a local town or event near you... that venture turned out to be a great learning experience for me and led me here... a full circle back to Vermillion, South Dakota!

I need your help to raise $5,000.

The funds are for fire suppression for the hood and remainder to finish the inside. We have reached the end of our options and are now reaching out to the community to get these doors open for full service family restaurant, legendary pizza, local produce and meats for your desires! In our current state, it will just take a few more months before we can put something together and get that system updated! Which puts us at around spring time closer to summer. If you do choose to donate, we will make that good at some point as profits began to show... We appreciate anything you can donate!

Background

My first job in Vermillion was at a little 12 seat diner name Marj's. We had been following Marj and her delicious calzones (we had never heard of them until Marj), pizza and east coast style food... best philly still... we also had the legendary R-Pizza of course! I believe the Soloman family owned it then... With all that said, we kind of fell into the right place, right time... I've been working my way to get back to owning my own restaurant, food truck, catering... whatever, I just wanted to get back to owning again and serving the food that I know the people deserve! I talked with the previous owners for awhile... we were able to come to an agreement... the owners of the building gave us some time for renovations, but not as much as we needed as of course with any rebuilding project you usually find something that you didn't expect... hence, where we are at this point.

We opened for delivery and carryout only as we had to get open in order to start generating income... We uncovered some issues and had to pivot with take out only until we could address some items – the fire suppression on the hood the main item. We used the last of our out of pocket money to finish to a point where we could open the doors and at least serve R-Pizza... We received a 94 on our health inspection, and we have been open for roughly 60 days now. We were hoping that would be good enough to generate the necessary funds to save for the upgrade we need, which is a new fire suppression system... it has not been busy enough to do so, and even though business is good enough to pay the costs, we are playing catch up as well for being shut down for the time we were.

Thank you all for the support! We love this community already, and we look forward to bringing you great food for years to come!

Sincerely.
