Hi everyone! My name is Anya and I am opening up my city’s first Black owned coffee shop that also happens to be a romance bookstore, Mis Amores. Mis Amores was created to provide a space that prioritizes marginalized voices in the romance book space and to also provide a safe space for individuals where they can be authentically themselves regardless of where they come from, what language they speak, or who they love. This is a space for community and full of love with a side of cafecito and empanadas.

I finally found the physical location for my business where I feel safe and support but I need help. I had an unexpected cost come up the week of opening that was unavoidable and now we’re struggling. I need help to be able to cover the cost of my rent and pay my staff.
