Open Hearts for Open-Heart Surgery: Support My Parents

Hi friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

I’m asking for your help during a very difficult time for my family. My stepdad is scheduled to undergo open-heart surgery, and while we’re hopeful for a smooth recovery, the road ahead is going to be tough—emotionally, physically, and financially.

My mom will be by his side every step of the way as his primary caregiver, which means she will be unable to work for the foreseeable future. The cost of medical care, travel to and from the hospital, and regular bills are quickly adding up, and it’s more than they can handle alone.

They are not the type to ever ask for help—financial or otherwise. But right now, they’re facing circumstances that no one can tackle alone. I’m hoping this fundraiser can ease some of that burden so they can focus fully on healing without the added stress of financial worry.
