Open heart surgery for our heart warrior Charlie

I know I don’t post much...so many of you may not know how much time I’ve spent with my niece Jamie and our precious Charlesanna. She was diagnosed with congenital heart defects including a moderate perimembranous vsd and a bicuspid aortic valve shortly after birth. I was there to help her moms for a week and ended up staying for 6 months because of her heart and her growth challenges. This was the best decision I ever made. This little baby girl has the most special spirit and heart anyone can ask for. Although she’s perfect, her heart has to work very hard to keep her going each day. She's currently immuno compromised and her mom michelle had to quit her job to care for our girl until we can get her heart fixed.

 

She will need open heart surgery in the next 2-4 months at Boston Children’s Hospital. This kid is a Fighter and has a great prognosis. She’s going to live a long healthy life because of this surgery. Unfortunately my niece And her wife are down to one income. Jamie’s insurance will only cover a small portion of expenses and costs of this journey. My family and I are asking for all of your prayers and any contribution to help towards these expenses that are already starting to mount.

 

The journey has just begun and I know Jamie and Michelle would never ask for this themselves. Im trying to do whatever I can to help them get through this tough time a little easier.

 

For those of you who know me, I don’t ask for much but I would ask for anything for this child.
