Baby Brooks was 3 days old when he had a second echocardiogram done and it was decided that he would need open heart surgery to reconstruct the arch in his aorta, and patch a large ASD. He was taken from the U of U hospital to Primary Children’s Hospital via AirMed and spent the first 15 days of his life at the hospital. At 5 days old he had open heart surgery, he then spent the remaining time recovering and learning how to eat and be a baby again. He is home now, and we are still working with Dr’s and outpatient clinics and therapies to get him where he needs to be. We truly appreciate all the love we’ve received from everyone.
