My name is Dawn. My husband and some of our neighbors have been helping a man who is living on the street, unhoused on 31st and Halsted. His name is Mike. He’s religious, intelligent and attended St. Rita HS with my husband Bobby. While Bobby has not had contact with him since HS and does not know his story, we have been trying to help Mike as much as possible. Mike does not ask for money. EVER. He says he is simply waiting for A DOOR TO OPEN for him. I’m hoping we can help open that door for him by helping him with donations, establishing secure housing and helping him find employment.
