Dear Family & Friends,
Cancer is one of the most cowardly diseases on the planet. As others have said, cancer is the definition of tragedy. We are finding lows we didn’t know existed, yet with the help of family and friends, we are also encouraged.
With her permission, Lynda has allowed me to tell her story. Following cold-like symptoms and being short of breath, Lynda was taken to ER in March. Lynda was diagnosed with stage 4 metastasized melanoma, which is now in her lung and the lining of her lungs. She has had surgery to remove some of the most affected areas and has started immunotherapy treatments. Lynda is being treated with Opdivo which is in the checkpoint inhibitor class of immunotherapy treatments.
It is very difficult to write this and ask for financial support. We have insurance, we are liquidating assets, and we are doing all we can to make ends meet. However, these efforts will not cover the costs of surgeries, treatments, in-home care, and whatever the future holds. Any donation would benefit Lynda’s care and help her in this fight.
All donations will go directly to Lynda Rygmyr’s care to help with medical expenses and support during this difficult time.
Please contact me if you have any questions regarding gofundme or how you can assist. We will continue to update you on Lynda’s journey.
Thank you very much for your consideration.
Sincerely,
David Rygmyr
