Dear family and friends,
As most of you may have heard, this past month and a half has been difficult for our beloved grandparents, Ed and Emma Schindel.
In early October Oma ( Emma) suffered a stroke, and about a week and half later our dear Opa had to be hospitalized for breathing complications related to his heart condition. Despite these medical setbacks we consider our family blessed for the love we share and especially because Oma and Opa have made significant recoveries. I am relieved and happy to report that they are finally both convalescing together as a couple. 

We have created this go-fund me page to ask our family and friends, and people who's lives have been touched by Ed and Emma Schindel to help them with expenses related to adaptive medical equipment and home care.  Their insurance only covers part of the medical equipment and PT and OT, but unfortunately it does not cover a night nurse. (Or as Opa would like to call it a nightwatchman. ) 

So many of you have been so kind and helpful during this difficult time for our family. Thank you for your prayers and words of encouragement. Our grandparents remain sources of inspiration for us all, having served as educators and counselors for their entire careers.  Now it is our turn to give back to them in a very supportive and real way.
