Oogie Boogies fight to recovery and diagnosis

Donation protected
Hi everyone, My name is Max and this is Oogie Boogie. On Tuesday Oogie was experiencing pain and we brought him to the emergency vet where he was diagnosed with pancreatitis. He was given meds and started to look good but on Saturday had a bad seizure around 9 am. We rushed him back to the vet where he was admitted for possible toxin exposure. Now at this point we have spent close to 4k and still don’t have a definitive diagnosis so he is continuing to stay in the hospital where we are trying different treatments, which we are expecting to be costly. He has made some progress as of today (12/1) but the future is still unclear. He will be getting a spinal tap tomorrow to try and diagnose possible infection. As of right now he is blind from the seizures but definitely still fighting. After the spinal tap we’re hoping to try steroids to help with inflammation possibly in the brain. We’re prepared to bring home a disabled/blind cat however we’re looking into neurology if he continues to make progress. We know it’s going to be a long road to even possible recovery but we are certainly not ready to give up on him. He more than likely has a few more days to spend in the hospital as well but we’re monitoring him and visiting him as often as we can. We hope to bring him home as soon as possible his brother (pictured) misses him as much as we do. We ask your consideration during the Christmas season to help this little guy fight. Thank you in advance -max
