Welcome to Tesa's Rescue family, Onyx and Orion! ❤️
We received a call from the local vet clinic informing us that 2 adult cats who needed help had been brought in; we were put on the phone with a kind member of the public who told us their story: at 10pm the previous evening, he was going home and noticed a taped-up cardboard box by the bus station in Rye Road. He opened the box and, to his distress, he found 2 terrified cats, laying down in their own urine and faeces, as well as some dry food. He took the cats home and offered them a spare room for the night, but his dogs did not approve of the new feline guests. So the next morning he handed them over to the local vet clinic, in the hope that the cats could receive a second chance. The whole situation broke our hearts completely, the gentleman found the sight of 2 abandoned, scared cats extremely upsetting.
The vet team lovingly named the 2 male tabbies Onyx and Orion, gave them a full check up (all okay, aged 3 years old), treated them for parasites, microchipped them and fitted them both in for neutering. The 2 wonderful little souls are now in a caring, quiet foster home where we hope they can relax and enjoy the warm sunny days❤️
Our plan is to allow them both to settle down, we feel they will start trusting people soon and they will show us their beautiful personalities; our goal is to find them the perfect forever home to suit their needs. Onyx and Orion don't know this yet but we wholeheartedly adore them and we will do our best to make them happy ❤️
We've started this fundraiser to help with their costs during foster:
- £35 food + litter bill (Feb26)
- £32 vet bill (parasite treatment Feb26)
- £254 neutering surgeries + microchips (Feb26)
- £35 litter bill (March26)
- £17 Feliway refill (March26)
If you'd like to make a contribution, we would be very grateful as every donation, no matter the amount, makes a huge difference! Thank you so much for reading and please share this fundraiser if you can ❤️
