Hurricane Melissa: On-the-ground Critical Supplies Jamaica

Donation protected
Hi,

My name is Joette Dixon. My husband Clive Ricketts and I are born and raised in Jamaica, in Mandeville, and now live in Toronto, Canada with our daughter Hannah May.

When Hurricane Melissa hit the south of Jamaica, we feared for our friends and family back home. The hurricane devastated infrastructure and farmlands and more in Southern Jamaica. People have lost everything, leaving them displaced and homeless, desperately in need of food, water, shelter, and basic supplies.

We are asking your support to purchase and deliver food, water, medication, and other critical supplies to the Jamaicans who need it most right now. Every dollar, 100% of what we raise, will go directly to people on the ground who need it most -- no middle man, no administration fees, no nonsense. We need to stand up together to rebuild Jamaica.

We are working with Andre Stephens, a local Jamaican organizer and advocate for the poor, who is leading a relief effort on the ground in Jamaica. He has already been able to deliver food and supplies to many people, but there are still so many people in need.

Here is a video of him working on the ground with the community and his fellow volunteers:

Thank you for your care, generosity, and support.

With love,
Joette and Clive
