Note from the Director, Gabriel Johnson
ONRYO has been my passion project for over a year and I’m very excited that Full Sail University has given my team the opportunity to finally make it into a movie. We’re currently in the pre-production phase and are working hard to fulfill this story in a way that is captivating, terrifying, and unique. We’re designing the Onryo as a fully practical creature and aspire to make the sets and environments detailed and atmospheric. Any donations would be highly appreciated and would go towards improving Onryo’s visuals, depth, and cinematic impact. Thank you!
ONRYŌ Plot Synopsis
Cassie Lancaster, still reeling from the mysterious disappearance of her mom a year ago, finds a suitcase hidden away in the attic of her dad's house, a scarf that used to belong to her mother inside. There is something else inside the suitcase though, something that wears her mother's face. The Onryo, masquerading as Cassie's mom, latches onto Cassie and begins to bring Cassie little gifts.
Is the Onryo is a friend though, or something more insidious?
