Onnr Grogan's Medical Expenses

On September 17th, we were devastated by the news that our beloved family member, Onnr Grogan, had been in a serious accident and was now in a fight for her life! A 21 year old college student, Onnr (pronounced "Honor"), was tragically struck by a car while crossing a busy street nearby her school's campus.

Onnr sustained a severely traumatic brain injury, that left her comatose for several days. Following successful surgeries to address the multiple fractures she had sustained to her Spine, tibia, fibula humerus, and collar bone, Onnr's condition stabilized and she miraculously emerged from her coma state, while recovering in the Intensive Care Unit of the Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina. With her loving mother and brother by her side the whole way, Onnr has proved to be a real fighter, steadily improving each day since. And we are elated now to report that, on September 30th, she was moved closer to home, where she will now begin the rehabilitation for her traumatic brain and physical injuries, at the Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Onnr's doctors caution that she faces a long and difficult road ahead of her, necessitating many months intensive rehabilitation in order to attain, what we pray will be, a full recovery. The medical expenses for the treatment of her injuries are astronomical and Onnr's uninsured motorist insurance policy is not expected to cover a large portion of her care and additional related expenses.

Onnr is a most spirited and lighthearted girl ... wholly embracing life every day, she can always be counted upon to put a smile on your face.
A very bright young lady, Onnr is college student in her senior year at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, where she is a Biological Engineering major.
Her academic achievements include but are not limited to:
- Winner of the Special North Carolina Scholarship from the Composting Council Research & Education Foundation (CCREF).
- Chancellor's List: Recognition of average GPA of at least 3.75 taking 12 or more units
- Professor's Research Assistant
