Help Onnie: Our Miracle
Hey everyone, my name is Ashley and I’m reaching out for help for my kitten, Onnie, my little miracle.
What was supposed to be a simple spay surgery turned into a nightmare on October 1st when Onnie had a severe reaction to anesthesia. Her heart stopped, and she went without oxygen for over 10 minutes. Only about 1 to 3 percent of cats survive something like that even with CPR, but somehow, she did. She was revived and came back to life, but the lack of oxygen caused serious neurological damage.
Since then, Onnie has been in a fragile and dangerous state. She’s completely blind and can’t urinate or poop on her own. I have to help her every day and have stayed up every night since to make sure she’s okay. She’s requires constant emergency vet visits, for blood work, scans, and checkups just to keep her stable. Her condition can change fast, and every day feels uncertain.
Even after everything she’s been through, she still finds her way around by sound and touch. She knows my voice, leans into my hands, and still purrs and makes biscuits like the brave soul she is.
She keeps fighting, eating, walking, and even trying to clean herself. Her strength amazes me every single day, but she needs continuous care, medication, and neurological monitoring to have a chance at recovery.
All donations will go toward:
• Neurological and veterinary care
• Emergency and follow-up vet visits
• Blood work, scans, and testing
• Medications and ongoing treatment
• Comfort items and recovery supplies
Onnie is fighting for her life, and every bit helps her keep going. Even if you can’t donate, sharing her story means the world to me.
Thank you for taking the time to read about Onnie. She’s not just my pet; she’s my family, my heart, and proof that even in the darkest moments, there’s still hope.
With love,
Ashley & Onnie
