Only Hope, a groundbreaking experimental film.

Help us start a revolution in the way cancer patients are treated with our brand new, groundbreaking movie, Only Hope.

Only Hope is a ground-breaking feature film, taking its audience on an emotional rollercoaster through laughter, tears and beyond. Telling a modern Robin Hood story, Only Hope follows three terminally ill cancer sufferers who come together in an enthralling adventure that will make you laugh, cry, smile and more. With characters played by real cancer patients, this is a ground-breaking project special to our hearts.

“Calendar Girls meets Pulp Fiction whilst telling the tale of a modern-day Robin Hood”

“This is the most eccentric screenplay I have ever read, and clever”. – Don Boyd, ex-Hollywood Producer

Only Hope is being written, filmed, and produced to share and emphasise awareness not only for cancer as a disease, but aims to be a catalyst in raising awareness for revolutionary cancer treatments around the world. We use the power of fantastical storytelling and, like a Trojan horse, capture attention to reveal the real story within. The mission is to cause REVOLUTION in how cancer patients are treated.

With this movie, we ask an important question - when one in two of us will get cancer, why is treatment so slow to advance? Only Hope and we are inspired by research being done at the Salk Institute exploring new ways to fight cancer.

Take a look at our video to find out more about the movie and the message it holds:

The Journey To Only Hope

The journey to creating Only Hope has been a turbulent, emotional yet rewarding one. This project was initially inspired by the parents of a little girl trying to raise funds for life-saving treatment. Sadly, she passed away, but we were determined to see the project through to completion to raise awareness.

The UK’s lockdown due to coronavirus put the movie on hold and we were given the heartbreaking news throughout these months that two of our cast members had lost their respective fights with cancer. In another ironic and cruel twist of fate, the author’s wife Sarah was diagnosed with terminal Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer just before Christmas. She was given weeks to live.

The terrible irony wasn’t lost on any of us and as the NHS postponed her chemotherapy due, Stephen, the author, was advised to find the scientists behind any pancreatic cancer survivors. After fighting to secure chemotherapy not available on the NHS, Sarah’s family found a unique scientific protocol, that is not yet approved by the FDA, developed by world award-winning scientists at the Salk Institute in California. These scientists work with health care centres who work with doctors to digitise and 3D model your cancer to help select drugs most lethal to your cancer.

This unique approach, however, is only used in research and not for treating patients like you and me, posing one important question – why?

This finding drove the movie in a new direction, and we are now fighting to raise awareness for these revolutionary and incredible treatments for cancer patients, to promote the need for cancer patients to have access to the latest technologies and treatments. Making this movie is, quite literally, a matter of life and death.

We want everyone to ask their governments why, when 1 out of every 2 of us will get cancer, are the latest techniques and technologies not in a hospital near you. We will use this film's story to promote this unique scientific approach.

This film is our message to the world and its governments. Become part of the message and please help by contributing today.

How Can You Help?

We have received a lot of incredible support from individuals, companies and sponsors across the UK and beyond, but the fight isn’t over yet. We have wrapped up filming the movie, but we need your help to produce, edit and distribute this movie to the wider public.

With your donations, we can dedicate more time and resources to producing this incredible movie and getting our message out there for everyone to see. We can support our cast, crew and their families throughout this incredible process, and bring Only Hope to screens.

Any donation is hugely appreciated, and you’ll be doing your part in bringing not only awareness but the fight for revolutionary cancer treatments to more and more people worldwide.
