Only Begotten Son, A Student Short Film

Only Begotten Son tells the story of a teen boy living in an isolated house in the middle of the woods with his two religious zealot parents. The story follows the child's journey into questioning and eventually rebelling against his abusive parents that have formed his entire world view with the help of his bed ridden sister.

This is a passion project from our Director Ben Stratfull, that will cover topics including religion, the cycle of abuse and isolation. Some of the film's inspirations include First Reformed (2017) and Dogtooth (2009) whilst the visual inspiration is being taken from The Witch (2015) and Leave No Trace (2018).

To ensure that this project is the best film it could possibly be, we are hoping to raise £400 so that we can cover the cost of the props we will need and properly accommodate our actors and crew. Any and all donations are very much appreciated and even sharing our project on social media or even in person would be a tremendous help.
