Continuation of Programme, Research & Publication

Donation protected
Since May 2020, we have been offering a series of online events in the form of reading sessions and workshops with invited guests. So far, we have organised four workshops, eleven reading sessions and a symposium in eight Q & A sessions with seventeen pre-recorded lectures, addressing different research topics on Latin American art from 1960s until 1980s.

One year ago, we began our online programme. First, it came out of the need to communicate and exchange among the audience our research topics, and later – who would have thought that – it became the way we will continue working.

The pandemic has enriched our programme and expanded our audience, going beyond borders thanks to digital means. But, it has also implicated a big amount of additional work, with the digital implementation of an online platform with videos, podcasts, and a blog with resources on Latin American art.

We want to thank the funding institutions of the project, Hauptstadtkulturfonds (The Capital Cultural Fund) and the Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen (Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations). Without their support, the programme would not have been possible.

It was not easy to extend this budget for almost a year. A project that would have happened in April 2020, took place almost a year later online, without any further support than the initial one we got for the live event.

At the moment, we are working on the following:

* the publication of the symposium papers (in two languages, English and Spanish)

* the podcasts of the symposium (some of them with English interpretation) and of the reading sessions

* research and organisation for the continuation of the project with a focus on performance and the use of public spaces

We would like to further develop our online platform, carry on with our online programme and – once possible – organise hybrid events, live and online, for our audience. There is enough work to do, but funding is needed.

In order to finish what we have started and continue offering a free of charge programme, we need your support.

As a way to thank you, we will give you a copy of the publication and send you access to some online material only for donors.

If you believe our programme and its contents are worthy of support, follow this link on gofundme.

Your support is greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance.
