Help Us Save Little Judy
A sudden illness. A brave little dog. A desperate call for help.
Judy is a sweet little dog who has been staying with me while her elderly owner is in hospital. In just a short time, she’s become part of our family, gentle, loving, full of character, and so well-behaved. She spent a lovely weekend walking in the Black Mountains and around Roath Park in Cardiff with her best friend, Molly the Frenchie.
Then, without warning, everything changed.
Judy suddenly became very unwell. She went from cheerful and energetic to lethargic, feverish, and struggling to breathe, all within hours. We rushed her to the vet. After injections and a sleepless night, she was worse, and we had to seek emergency care.
Blood tests, an endoscopy, scans, and X-rays revealed she has severe pneumonia.
She was placed on an IV, inside an oxygen cage, and treated intensively for 48 hours.
She started to improve but relapsed quickly once home. Her breathing deteriorated, her fever returned, and she couldn’t eat or stand without help.
Now, her condition is critical again, and the vet has advised she needs:
Intubation
Round-the-clock oxygen and monitoring
Intravenous antibiotics and fluids
Possibly a CT scan to find the root cause
But we’ve hit a heartbreaking roadblock. Her insurance has nearly maxed out, and her elderly owner has stretched as far as she can she can just cover the scan, but not the intensive care Judy now urgently needs.
That’s why I’ve created this GoFundMe - to ask for help.
We’re trying to raise funds to give Judy the emergency care that could save her life.
She is fighting, and we’re doing everything we can, but we can’t do it alone.
Every single donation will go directly toward Judy’s veterinary care. If we lose her before the money can be used, I will donate the remaining balance to a dog charity, chosen by public poll. I will also provide proof of all vet bills and payments for full transparency.
None of this is for me or my business, it’s simply about giving Judy a chance to live.
Please donate if you can. Share if you can’t.
And thank you from the bottom of our hearts for reading.
With gratitude,
Zoe
