Mark and Renee Wray (go ahead and say THAT five times fast) are my heroes. Their daughter Allie is a rockstar; their son Owen is an incredible warrior who has gone through more than most other almost-three-year-olds I know.

At only two months old, Owen was diagnosed with a rare and catastrophic form of pediatric epilepsy called infantile spasms. While these seizures appear to be small, they have a major impact on the developing brain; few children with this diagnosis come out unscathed. Despite dozens of treatments, including an aggressive brain surgery in early 2021, Owen continues to have spasms every day, resulting in even more medical complexities as time goes on.

Due to Owen's ongoing therapies, medical appointments, medical equipment, and full-time care required (140+ hours per week, no joke), this family has faced and will continue to face extravagant challenges and financial obligations. This GoFundMe is intended to be an ongoing place with an arbitrary "goal" to provide financial support to this family.

They are overwhelmed with your desire to help support them. I know that I, for one, feel pretty darn helpless being a plane ride away and not having the ability to really, truly understand their minute-by-minute struggles.
