Dogs have always been a big part of our lives. We adopted Luna, April of last year. She was rescued from the streets of our hometown and became a huge part of our family. Luna is our sunshine, always full of spunk, sweetness and love. She has always been a strong, determined girl and has overcome some neurological gross motor issues with support and continued care.
In November, Luna became ill with a bacterial infection in her digestive system which later spread to her skin. Luna’s skin deteriorated, causing large open wounds on her back, side and upper leg. She required multiple hospitalizations and surgeries with various types of skin grafts to try to heal her wounds. Through all of this Luna has not lost her sweet personality and continues to require the care of skilled veterinarians. This has caused financial strain and we are at the point where we need to ask for help. ANY contribution for Luna’s continued care will be greatly appreciated. We have spent approximately eight thousand dollars thus far and still have quite a journey to go. Thank you for taking the time to read Luna’s story.
