Hi, my name is Arno Gaultier Swords,
As of 2026, the Irish Judiciary is still unsupervised. Out of all 524 complaints received by the Judicial Conduct Committee since its inception to December 2024 (a 2 years period), only one was deemed admissible (and I was the author of that one admissible complaint). This ridiculous low ratio of admissible complaints is the consequence of an excessive lobbying of the Judiciary at the time of the preparation of the Judicial Council Act 2019, which infringes EU laws and the Bangalore Principles of Judicial Conduct, which both require that the members of the Judiciary should be made accountable to an independent and impartial body (Cf. LM case & Preamble of the BPJC). The scope of admissible complaints should include the construction of Judicial Decision, as the construction of a decision, by itself, may demonstrate a lack of impartiality (see title of Impartiality in BPJC).
As a result of the above, I have taken it upon myself to take actions against the state and against judges to make judges accountable for their actions, especially when blatantly infringing someone’s fundamental and/or constitutional rights, in contravention of their Constitutional Oath of Office. One of those cases comes for hearing before the Court of Appeal at 10.30am on the 12th January and large audience would be appreciated.
This case relates to Quo Warranto proceedings (to ascertain judges’ authority) on the ground that judges may have vacated their office once they infringed their oath of office (Vacation of office to be distinguished from removal from Office). Separately, I initiated defamation proceedings against the said judges, for which the Attorney General has now entered an appearance.
