UPDATE 3/31/26:
Meridith passed away on March 29th after a valiant battle with stage 4 rhabomyosarcoma, an aggressive and fast-moving cancer. Our hearts are shattered and we will never be the same.
We are still grateful for continued funds for Meridith's celebration of life expenses, as well as continued medical bills.
Love,
The Glass Family
On July 8th, 2025, Meridith went to the ER with pains in her chest and trouble breathing. After extensive X-Rays, ultrasounds, blood samples and testing, Meridith received the diagnosis of Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS), which is an extremely rare and aggressive cancer. The doctors located a large tumor that is currently located in her chest area, pushing against her lungs and arteries and making it difficult for her to breathe. Unfortunately, the doctors also discovered that the cancer has spread to her lungs, lymph nodes, and liver, making this a Stage 4/aggressive diagnosis.
Before you Google 'rhabdomyosarcoma' and observe the 5-year survival rate, Meridith wants you to know that she has never had a hard time being in the top 20% before * wink *, and she plans to remain there this time around - she is a strong, voracious fighter and we are NOT giving up hope!
Her doctors have prescribed an aggressive treatment of radiation, chemotherapy, and then hopefully a surgery to remove the tumorous mass in her chest.
We are anticipating many expensive medical bills as she undergoes this treatment, which will put a burden on an already stressful situation.
Any amount that you can give is so appreciated- we just want Meridith to get back to doing a job she loves so much- serving her many clients at CARE Counseling- as well as remaining her joyful, HILARIOUS, witty and wonderful self for her friends and family.
The Glass Family thanks you in advance for your generosity during this very scary and challenging time.
-Elena Glass, Meridith's big sister
