A family who has lost a lot and is still fighting

Hello, Thank you for stopping by. I am fundraising for a dear friend of mine. She is one of the hardest working women I know. As a single mother of 3, she is the only child of Dan and Linda. In less than 3 months, both her parents had been diagnosed with cancer... and less than a week ago Linda, her mother, passed away. This is their story:

In late summer 2022, Dan was diagnosed with cancer. He underwent surgery to remove it, but his lymph nodes tested positive; the cancer had spread. Dan now has to begin receiving radiation therapy in hopes of becoming cancer free.

Roughly a month after Dan was diagnosed, Linda was rushed to the hospital with rapid cognitive impairment. After being transferred to a larger hospital, she was diagnosed with lung cancer which had spread to her brain. She underwent surgery to remove the brain tumor, was in the ICU for 2 weeks, and was set to undergo chemo for the lung tumors. After 1 treatment, she sadly suffered a lung aneurysm and passed away on 10/26/2022. She fought hard but sadly lost her battle less than 2 months after being diagnosed.

Dan and Linda were married for over 40 years. They met in Texas and lived there for most of their marriage. They have 1 daughter and 3 grandchildren. Both Dan and Linda were retired, have Medicare and no outside resources.

The family is requesting financial assistance to help cover Linda's final expenses and ongoing medical expenses for Dan.
