For 16 years, OneSeed has built deep roots in Nepal. The Langtang region has welcomed countless OneSeed travelers, and Syabrubesi—the gateway to many of our treks—has long been a place of friendship, partnership, and shared purpose.

On August 26, devastating flooding along the Bhote Koshi River caused widespread loss and destruction in Rasuwa District, including communities connected to Syabrubesi and the Langtang region. Homes, roads, businesses, and critical infrastructure have been damaged, while families face displacement and an uncertain path forward. Many of our close partners have been directly impacted, and heartbreakingly, one member of our extended team, Sange, remains unaccounted for.

In the immediate aftermath, communities need safe shelter, food, clean water, medical care, essential supplies, and support for search and rescue. As emergency efforts continue, the need will soon extend to rebuilding homes, restoring livelihoods, and helping families regain stability.

We are launching this fundraiser with a goal of raising funds to support recovery in Syabrubesi and the surrounding Langtang region. Many past OneSeed travelers have reached out to ask where they can help. This campaign is our answer: a direct, transparent way for our global community to stand with the people who have made so many meaningful journeys possible.

Many organizations are already providing vital immediate relief. OneSeed’s purpose is also to support what comes next: long-term recovery and rebuilding.

Our OneSeed community has always shown up for Nepal. After the 2015 earthquake and again during the COVID lockdown, past travelers provided an invaluable line of support for our guides, porters, partners, and their families. That generosity helped sustain our team through extraordinarily difficult moments.

Now, we are asking our community to come together once again.

How funds will be used: The full amount received by OneSeed through this campaign will be transferred from our OneSeed Nepal bank account to Nepal’s Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund. The fund supports immediate relief and longer-term recovery in flood-affected communities. We will share the online transaction receipt after the transfer is complete.
