Hello! My name is James R. McIlroy ( www.jamesrmcilroy.com ) and welcome to my mural fundraiser page!

I'm a visual artist from Oneonta, NY. Locals might know me from my mural and tattoo work. I've worked with different cities and colleges and I have a new project that I'd like to share with you.

I got permission to paint a large stylized heron on a building in downtown Oneonta, N. Y. - right across from City Hall. This is my biggest mural to date and it's going to require a bit of funding. I've gone through the hoops of getting approval from the city and historical board. With the help of the building owner, I've received two OCI grants to start the project. I just need to raise the remaining capital - which is where you come in.

Herons are a big part of the Susquehanna river and this mural will pay homage to this beautiful river that is such an integral part of our community. I've been spreading the good word of street art for a few years now and I'd like to keep the momentum going. Paving the way for younger artists and giving the community some more beautiful images to admire.
