The tributes flooding social media are testament to how much he is loved, and how greatly he will be missed.
Throughout the 30years I’ve known him, in all my capacity as a musician, and friend, it has been an honour to serve him. He was royalty after all - a King amongst men - a peaceful warrior.
With respect to his final wishes...
THERE WILL BE NO FUNERAL.
He requested that his body be cremated, without witness.
We will receive his ashes.
When asked where he’d like them to be scattered?
He simply replied “hills and valleys, rivers and streams.”

In those last few weeks, we talked of the countries, and places where the music had carried him – Scotland, Wales, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Belgium, Sweden, Switzerland, Holland, Poland, the list is endless!
I asked him “Out of all the countries you’ve been to, is there one you would like to reach if the chance...” and before I could finish the sentence, he rose up and exclaimed “Yes, star India! my motherland, I would have loved to have gone to India, and seen her.”

Although he didn’t request it - a unified thought amongst us and his closest brethren is that we lay his final remains to rest in India.
Mentally he went there - he had a spiritual affinity too - yet, physically he never managed to reach.

The 'gofundme' page has been set up to raise funds to finance the trip to India to scatter his ashes.
This will pay for return flights for 2 (Jay & Abi), accommodation, and any unexpected costs transporting Idren.
