The #onemcpeakechallenge is a campaign to raise awareness of anaphylaxis and allergies. We want to support individuals who struggle with living with food allergies on a daily basis.
We are asking participants to "Step into my Shoes" for 2 weeks to discover the daily challenges faced by individuals who need to avoid certain food groups to avoid an allergic reaction.
TheAWord is working hard to raise awareness of anaphylaxis and allergies. Emma and Jacqui are currently campaigning to change the law which currently does not allow Colleges and Universities to stock Auto-Adrenalin Devices (AAI devices) for use in emergencies. Young people between the ages of 15-25 years old are the most vulnerable group and we believe it is vital that emergency life-saving medication should be available for this group particularly when they may be away from home for the first time.
The funds raised from this campaign will help us to raise awareness and provide advice and training on AAI devices.

Emma is the Head of Health at St.John's College Cambridge.
Jacqui McPeake was Head of Catering at a large University and is now the owner and Director of JACS Ltd providing Allergen support, advice and training for food businesses.
Allergen Accreditation is a national accreditation scheme which recognises any food business which has a robust food allergen process to support its customers with food allergies.
