I'm reaching out to ask for your help.  I've been patiently waiting to get an operation on my knee for over a year now.  The problem is, and has been, that I can't put enough money aside to get it done.   Altogether,  it will cost me something to the effect of $10k to pay for the surgery and my bills in the time I'm off my feet, and needless to say, that's quite the feat for me at this time.  I'm not sure you could comprehend how ecstatic I would be if you could drop me $1 and share my campaign.  I've been skating low impact as I wait to be able to get the operation, but in recent weeks, I have to be careful in doing things as light as walking - so I am officially off the board until this is done...

Essentially, I’ve had a torn meniscus in my left knee for at least 2 years now.  I'm not sure when it happened exactly, but I have been steady hacking away at the surrounding articular cartilage ever since.  There's a procedure I can get from a surgeon I've befriended & trust and who's already performed this same operation on my right knee, that will fix the tear - though insurance will not cover any of it.   I will be required to pay all of the cost up front ($5,200 is the cash price, that includes a hell of a deal from my surgeon) as well as being 2 months ahead on bills to go off my feet for recovery.  

I've been doing what I can to put away money for this surgery since last summer, but in this same time I've been working to get my life and business off the ground as well.  Though things are really starting to look up on the company's end, my monetary status is a constant juggle of both business and life expenses, and my profits have not been sufficient enough to have $5k to spend on surgery, re-investing into the business and then covering my bills, and if I'm being completely honest with you I'm not sure when that would ever line up, another year!?   It seems like the closer I get to reaching the finish line, life always has something new to throw at me.  I'm sure many people could relate!

All I want to do is to be able to enjoy my free time doing what I've been doing for almost 18 years  - riding my skateboard with my friends!
