On February 14th Haileys water broke unexpectedly at 24 weeks pregnant. They rushed to L&D and after many tests they determined that baby Carsen was doing okay. She continued to lose fluid but the amazing staff were able to keep her and baby Carsen healthy. On February 17th they determined that it was safer to take Baby Carsen out. At 1:46 p.m. Baby Carsen was born via C-Section. He weighed 1 pound 6 ounces and was 12 inches long. A week after he was born he was life flighted to a hospital in Northern Utah for a necessary surgery on his intestines. He will remain at the UVRMC until he is discharged to come home with his parents, which will be months. The expenses are already stacking up. We are hoping to take the stress of worrying about the expense out of their hands. Any donations are appreciated, no matter how small.
