UPDATE AS OF DECEMBER 26,2024. It’s been a week that we have been at Cooks. Not being home for Christmas was kinda strange. Well Onecimo’s port was put in. Everything was well, then his lab work after his surgery came back all messed up. His BUM was high so was his potassium and his body acid was on the high. So what was suppose to be a one night stay has turned into WHO KNOWS WHEN WE WILL BE GOING HOME. Because we are still hear any kind of donation would be greatly appreciated. Also please pray and pray for us as we need healing and to go home. Hello to all. My name is Irmaelena and I am setting up this fundraiser to fund travel and medical expenses as our son, Onecimo Ortiz, and I will travel to Cook Children's Hospital in Ft. Worth once more.

This time, my momma heart hurts more than anything as Onecimo will be getting a port to begin dialysis. He is at stage 5 renal failure (CKD). There is so much that this child has had to endure and sacrifice. He had to quit football (his favorite sport), and the worst part is that at 14 years old, he wants to be normal like all of his friends.

He is active in school as he does FFA and enjoys helping out. He is a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Catholic Church. He has a whole life ahead of him, and with our faith and all the prayers we are receiving, I know that the outcome will be good! God bless you all!
