Hi everyone,

My name is Mayla Locklear, and I wanted to share a quick update and ask for a little help as I head into my final year of college. After the COVID pandemic, I had to take a break from school because of financial challenges. It was a really difficult time, but I never lost sight of my goal to graduate.

Last year, I was able to re-enroll by working two jobs during the semester just to cover tuition and expenses. It wasn’t easy balancing everything, but I was determined to keep going — and now I’m so close to the finish line, with just one year left.

This school means a lot to me, not only because of the hard work I’ve put in, but also because my uncle attended years ago. Being able to graduate from the same place he did would be such a proud moment for me and my family.
