One World Montessori 2020 Support Fund
Tax deductible
Dear Current & Former One World Montessori Parents, Alumni, and Friends:
Covid-19 has put One World Montessori on unsure financial footing. Our beloved Montessori school, where our children are cared for and guided to become independent, self-reliant people, needs our help.
The parents of current and former OWM students have created this fundraising campaign to provide financial support for the school to use as instability continues. Without our help, the school’s future is uncertain.
Founded in 1979, One World Montessori School has been committed to providing the complete Montessori education that we all appreciate so much. Many of the teachers have been at One World for decades, and generations of students have benefitted from the school's unwavering commitment to the Montessori method. More than education, One World provides a loving and culturally engaged environment where each child is respected, appreciated and allowed to flourish.
On average, One World has just over 200 students in attendance each day. Since the return to school this Fall, this number has decreased to 85. The school was forced to lay off nearly half its staff and has been relying on PPP loans, salary cuts, rent forgiveness, and tuition prepayments.
The goal of this fundraising campaign is to raise $240,000 to keep the remaining teachers employed while allowing the school funds to continue paying infrastructure costs (rent, utilities, health benefits…) through the uncertainty of the next year.
We hope you will join us in helping One World Montessori and the staff stay afloat during this difficult time so that we can ensure it continues to nurture and inspire children for years to come.
Please donate and share this campaign with your friends and family.
