Help! I've been Kidnapped!!

Donation protected
Hello, I've been kidnapped, for the second time. This time by the need to take my one woman show on from it's success at Riverside Studios and The Tabard into further theatres and the Edinburgh Festival. This is a better way to be kidnapped than the way I was before, which was by my dad to Saudi - don't worry he's from there - he didn't just throw a dart at a globe although I'd not put that past him.

You know what they say... what doesn't kill you... write a one woman show about. So that's what I've done. Do you support women? Of course you do! Do you support multicultural women? Yes I hear you cry. Then support me - pay my ransom of and I will be free... to bring this show to as many venues as possible!

Now here's the bit where I tell you about all the people who think I'm great:

I’ve been part of BBC Writersroom and the WFTV Mentoring Scheme. This project was optioned by TV Production Company Fulwell on the back of the one woman show script. It also got to the final 21 of the 1300 applicants to the BBC Bursary Scheme. I have other projects which I've developed with TV Production Companies Vox Pictures and NoHo Film & TV. I have both an acting agent and a literary agent. Acting work includes Sky's 'Breeders' and Netflix/BBC's 'Rebel Cheer Squad'.

I need to crowd fund to take the show to other London Theatres and to do an Edinburgh run.

It will cover costs such as script development, rehearsal space, publicity, enlisting the help of a producer, props, costume, sound, set and all other unknown miscellaneous costs.

It is directed by Gareth Edwards who worked as a comedy producer at the BBC for many years and has worked on projects such as Upstart Crow, That Mitchell and Webb Look, Spaced and Ladhood.

Quotes on the show:

BBC Comedy Collective:
'It really was brilliant"
'Entirely engrossing, a bonkers story, brilliantly told'.

Sky TV Commissioner:
'A really funny, fearless and unique piece'.

NoHo Film and TV
'Brilliant. A really affecting piece that brought so much variety of tone, story and event. Thought provoking, original and funny. A tour de force'.
