My name is AL Williams, and I am starting the One Step At A Time Foundation to support individuals with spinal cord injuries and disabilities. My inspiration comes from my own journey — I have experienced firsthand how life can change in an instant, and how difficult it can be to find the support and hope needed to move forward. Too many people with spinal cord injuries or disabilities feel forgotten, alone, or without the resources they need to rebuild their lives. I believe that recovery begins with hope, and hope begins one step at a time. That’s why I am committed to making sure SCI survivors and disabled individuals always have someone in their corner, offering strength, resources, and a reason to keep going.
The funds raised here will help cover the important early costs of building this foundation. This includes official nonprofit registration and paperwork, providing educational and rehabilitation resources for SCI patients, and reaching out to hospitals, rehab centers, and families who need support. We’ll also use funds to create a website and awareness materials so people can find help when they need it most, and to launch community mentorship and emotional wellness programs. Every donation will help this mission become real — and start bringing hope to people who need it most.
If you choose to support this foundation, you are helping real people who are fighting real challenges every day. Your kindness can give someone hope, guidance, and the strength to keep going when life feels heavy. Your support will mean the world to me — and to those who need help the most. Thank you for believing that every step forward matters. We don’t have to change everything at once… we just have to start — one step at a time.
