A little over two years ago, on May 24th of 2018 I was a victim of extreme force by local law enforcement, in front of my family and just feet away from my oldest son on the street in the front of my own house.
It was said that I was shot 2 times in my abdomen and chest. All at very close range, 5-6ft, and with a Shotgun ! Ammunition's are something considered "less than lethal" but it almost killed me, and the medical report says it was 3 shots.
That wasn't the end of it either, they then decided to go ahead and "tase" me after the fact.
It was also said said bean bags were used but the images show something more solid, and one is still lodged in my liver.
This happened literally just days after my oldest sons graduation and get this, just one day after my 50th birthday on May the 24th, 2018.
Circumstances were totally misunderstood.
I am embarrassed, but need to swallow my pride and ask for help.
I served a 5yr apprenticeship and graduated 2nd in my class.
I am a Proud Sheet Metal Worker by trade & have not received a paycheck for over two years now and the only source of income I am receiving is from the state and forgive me for saying because I am grateful that it is at least something but it is still peanuts.
A total of $440.00 per month.
After over two dozen major, minor surgeries and or procedures.
And with major concerns about my liver still being the key focus, I am now at a point the doctors say they are pretty much done with me unless complications arise. However, I am still averaging 2-3 appointments a month for blood work, maintenance, etc.
I am a prideful man who loves to work for every penny that I spend. That's how I was raised and that is still who I am, so this not being able to contribute to my household financially is absolutely devastating in all ways, shapes and forms.
All my accounts have been exhausted for quite some time now. Standards of living have absolutely changed, and because the family net income was slashed by at least 50-60% this has left the burden on my wife.
My daughter has moved out but has been out of work herself due to the Covid-19.
My oldest son has held off on moving out (for now anyway) to stay and help so we don't loose either the house and or truck. Thanks Son!!!
We sold my wife's 2013 mustang that she absolutely adored just for mortgage payments.
That is long gone now and here I sit trying to find a way to help keep us afloat.
To be able to create some sort of encouragement and relief for my wife while allowing my son to be able to save back up & do his thing.
What I am hoping for is to be able to earn money myself and not have to rely on donations. Remember I am a Prideful man who loves to work for every penny that I spend.
If I am able to get enough to buy a piece of equipment & utilize my skill sets in art via auto cad, aka: CAD. (I also utilize CAM, Inventor, Fusion 360, CorelDraw & of course "scan in" my "original pieces") I would be able to do just that.
My media preference is metal because after all I am a sheet metal worker but definitely could & have worked with all types. (acrylic, glass, plastic, wax, wood)
The amount I am asking for is on the high end because of my media preference so I have attached links you can see what I would like, to some lower cost machines I can definitely still use.
