Hello, I am Doreen (Gray) Chatkin, Candice's cousin. One of the original four Lemon Heads.

 

It is with a deep sadness, I announce that on Monday, October 11th God received one of the best Angels, our Candice Anne.

 

Clayton, Cameron, Anthony, Savannah and Sebastian lost their wife and mother. Jenna and Timothy Sweet, lost their daughter. Billie Jo and Shannon McConnell, lost their sister. Rhiannon lost her aunt. It was a long battle she fought.

 

We all lost a HERO!

 

We will never forget her kind spirit, quick wit and her ability to always make people laugh. She was the brightest light in every room and brought so much joy to her family and friends.

 

Candice was a creative, intelligent and loving wife and mother who adored her beautiful children.

She was a very talented baker. She was the queen of the five-card monte and knew every one liner from every movie that she watched.

 

She was a nurse and for so long she was used to being the person who took care of everyone else. She didn’t think about herself she always thought about everyone else always. She always came last when it came to her family, by her choice.

 

In the last six months her MS got worse and she got pneumonia. She slowly and steady declined and was admitted to the hospital in August in which she never came back home.

On September 6 her last text message was, “Please biggest prayer chain! Please I’m not doing well.” We prayed by the hundreds for weeks and weeks however, God had a plan for her.

 

With all of the emotional pain and stress that a death brings, it also brings financial burdens. We are trying to raise money for Clayton and their children to help with any costs that they will incur and to help wherever needed. As a family, we want to ease any stress on the them caused by outstanding costs of the funeral and what comes afterwards.

 

It is in these times of loss and sadness when you see people coming together to help one another make it through, to support the people we care for. We are thankful for any support you may be able to provide. We also encourage everyone to keep our family in their thoughts and prayers.

 

Please wrap Clayton, her children, her parents and her sister, as well as the rest of our family in prayers and support. This unexpected loss has been devastating. Any and all donations will be used towards helping with funeral costs, medical bills and other family expenses that comes along with children.
