My boy, Rocco, needs surgery. I adopted Rocco when he was 3 years old after spending his entire life at a shelter. He was an especially hard adoption and was passed over by many potential adopters because he was socially awkward. Only the shelter staff were able to get near him. My husband and I visited the shelter several times to try to get close to him, but it never worked. Then we made the decision to take a leap of faith and just have him brought home. Once he was home with us, he acclimated to our pack and has become a mama's boy.

Unfortunately, in early April 2023, Rocco tore his ACL and we also found out he has a luxated patella. We've been keeping him crated. But his condition is worsening and he is having trouble walking and can no longer go up or down stairs.

He needs surgery ($7,000) to repair both. We have been saving to get this surgery done in May. However, with a change in job and a few paychecks less, we are struggling to accumulate the entire amount.

I am looking for anyone who may want to help us reach some of our cost.

We understand that times are hard for everyone right now. And certainly, you need to prioritize your own family's needs. But, if you have a little extra to help out Rocco, it would be greatly appreciated.
