Short Description

ONE NIGHT, ONE LIFE is an independent short film about Connor, a young man who goes out into the night after a painful breakup, hoping to escape his thoughts. A pub, a strip club, a kebab shop, a park, a bridge, and finally sunrise. What begins as an ordinary night slowly transforms into a journey through his fears, desires, and the parts of himself he has long ignored.

This is an independent, non-profit film. My goal is simple. To tell a beautiful, emotionally honest story with memorable dialogue, one that stays with people long after the credits roll and perhaps even helps them understand themselves a little better.

About the Film

The story begins with something familiar.

A young man. A breakup. One sleepless night. A desire to forget.

But beneath every conversation, every location, and every stranger he meets lies another layer of meaning. The film is structured around symbolic inner transformation, following Connor as he gradually reconnects with himself.

You can enjoy the film simply as an atmospheric story that unfolds over one unforgettable night.

Or you can look deeper and notice that every person Connor meets represents a different part of his own mind.

I like to compare this film to a vitamin.

You don't need to understand how it works for it to have a positive effect.

My Story

I moved to Ireland 4 years ago and have spent years rebuilding my life while learning through new experiences, challenges, and personal growth.

Since childhood, I have been fascinated by psychology, human behavior, and the hidden processes of the mind. That curiosity eventually led me to storytelling.

I graduated from Dundalk Institute of Technology with a First Class Honours Degree (Level 8) in Digital Marketing and Communication Strategies.

My professional background includes content creation, advertising, interviews, and visual communication.

I wrote the screenplay for ONE NIGHT, ONE LIFE myself and rewrote it three times until every scene felt honest and necessary.

I work under the name Angel Plantieiev, the name under which I hope to build my career as a film director.

What Has Already Been Done

This project is much more than an idea.

The screenplay has been completed after three full revisions.

A two minute psychological short film has already been produced and is currently under consideration at several film festivals.

The production package has been prepared and includes the materials needed to begin filming.

Part of the production team has already been assembled and is ready to move forward.

Why This Matters

This film is not only Connor's story.

In many ways, it is mine as well.

I hope everyone who watches it leaves with something positive, whether they simply enjoy an unusual night-time story or decide to explore the deeper symbolism beneath it.

If even a few people see something important within themselves because of this film, I will consider the project a success.

It is important to say that this is an independent film.

It is not being made for commercial profit.

Every contribution goes directly into production, helping bring this story to life with the quality it deserves.

How Your Support Will Be Used

Equipment and location rentals across Dundalk, Drogheda, and Dublin.

The production crew, including cinematography, lighting, sound, and editing.

Post-production, including colour grading, sound design, and original music.

Film festival submission fees, allowing the film to reach audiences around the world.

My target budget is approximately €8,000.

The final scope of production will depend on the amount raised. Every contribution will go directly into making the film, and I will adapt the production to match the available budget while maintaining the highest possible quality.
