This fund has been established in memory of Dan Towriss, who sadly passed away at home at the tender age of 24. Despite Dan being Austistic and having social difficulties, he became an amazing self taught singer,songwriter and guitarist, shining whenever on stage or behind a microphone.

Through the generosity of donors and fundraising activities, the fund aims to remove

financial barriers and create opportunities for young people to discover their musical

interests, develop their skills and experience the positive benefits of music.

Who can apply?

Young people aged 16-24 who live within Rotherham may apply for financial support.

Applications are welcomed from young people at all stages of their musical journey,

from complete beginners to those who are already developing their musical skills.

What can the fund support?

Grants may contribute towards:

• Music lessons, tuition and workshops.

• Musical instruments, equipment and accessories.

• Music events, concerts and festivals.

• Recording sessions, music courses and other relevant experiences.

• Essential travel costs associated with an approved music opportunity.
