It's no secret that Madi is chasing some pretty big dreams, and as most of us know, equipping our kids with the tools and resources they need to chase these dreams is no easy task. We work hard, do extra, spend countless hours in the car, drink super cold coffee - and at the end of it all, no parent wants to be the reason for missed opportunities.
Madison has secured a renewal for another season at BIC Academy in the new year. Since this year has gone so well, and she's improved everything from muscle mass to statistics and even her academics have taken a leap forward.
Here's some things you should know about her:
She's a shooting guard with an almost 70% conversion rate across the board.
She trains upwards of 3 hours every day, sometimes doing 3 different sessions in a day including a gym session and a team training with her academy training.
At 15, she's playing U16 and U18 women's basketball, as well as managing her own team in the SUB15 category for 3X3 Circuito Nacional of which her and her team have qualified for the national final 3 years in a row.
Right now, in the Taça Nacional placement stage, she's 8th in overall points, 2nd in free throw points, and 4th in three-pointers.
This year, she struggled through some tendon/ligament issues with her knees, and has soldiered through with multiple sports clinic sessions, shockwave appointments, and physiotherapy treatments - and she's ready to kick ass in the new season.
Between the academy, equipment costs, travel costs, club costs, etc. She's played through 3 pairs of shoes this season, ski shorts, socks, and more... We need some help to make it happen. They say it takes a village, right?
If I can get almost everyone I know to donate just 5€ - my heart would explode because we'd be able to pay almost a full year in advance for all the things she needs. And I know for some, 5€ is a big ask, I know for others it's a drop in the ocean, but whatever you can do to help us bring things closer in reach, we would be grateful.
Sending love to every person who's taken the time to read this.
