Help Us Build the New Classroom for Ibanda (Uganda) Community School

Director (PhD) Andrew Akampurira : “When I was a kid, I had to walk 7 km in the morning to go to school and 7 km in the evening to return home, and I didn't have shoes! I know what it means to struggle for education.

Now my mission is to make sure that children in remote villages can access good-quality education at a price their families can manage (even to those who can’t still afford to buy proper shoes) and without having the same hardship as I did.

In the hills of Ibanda, Uganda, a small school has become a beacon of hope for children who would otherwise have limited access to quality education. Founded with love, determination and the desire to uplift local families, Ibanda Glorius Primary School opened its doors to Primary 1 and Primary 2 students thanks to the generosity of friends, volunteers and private supporters.

Today, more than 50 children come to school every day eager to learn, dream and imagine a better future.

Thanks to earlier donations, the first floor of the school has been successfully completed. So far 4 lively classrooms are now full of eager smily children, this is the first chapters of many success stories and cultural renaissance of Ibanda.

Why We Need Your Help Now

In February, the new school year begins. Our P2 students are growing and so is their future!

To keep these children on their educational path, we urgently need to build the new Primary 3 classroom.

Unfortunately, the school’s current funds have run out. Without additional support, these children risk losing continuity in their education simply because there is no space to host them.

Our Goal: Build a new school floor to support 2 new classrooms!
