One More Chance:
Help Us Get Chance to MD Anderson
Our son, Chance, is 29 years old and has been courageously fighting Acute Myeloid Leukemia for the past three years. During that time, he has undergone multiple rounds of chemotherapy, radiation, a bone marrow transplant, a second transplant after complications, and participation in several clinical trials. Most recently, Chance participated in a 2 month clinical trial in Virginia, which unfortunately was not successful. Despite all of these efforts, his leukemia has continued to progress and return more aggressively.
We are currently at a critical stage in his care. One option remains, a clinical trial at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston Texas. At this time, Chance is not stable enough to travel, so our immediate focus is working with his medical team to provide the supportive care needed to improve his condition and make transport possible.
While we continue to pursue this possibility, we are also preparing for all outcomes and focusing on keeping him as comfortable as possible.
We have set up this fundraiser to help with:
* Continued medical and hospital-related expenses
* Travel, temporary housing, transportation, and additional out-of-pocket medical expenses related to a transfer to MD Anderson
* And planning for end-of-life expenses, as we navigate this uncertain time
Chance remains strong, aware, and deeply loved. We are doing everything we can to support him through this, whatever the path may be.
If you are able to contribute or share this page, it would mean so much to our family. Your support allows us to focus on Chance and the time we have with him.
Thank you for your kindness, support, and for keeping Chance in your thoughts and prayers.
