About Kenta Kito (Director & Writer):

Kenta Kito is a senior Cinema student at San Francisco State University. He is the director and writer of this project. Kenta was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan, and came to the U.S. to pursue filmmaking. Over the past four years, he has directed and written several short films, many of which have been screened and honored at film festivals around the world, experiences that now lead him to his most ambitious project yet. His passion and dedication to storytelling have made this thesis film the most important project of his journey.

While I handle the production and fundraising, Kenta drives the creative vision of this film. You’ll see him in the promo video, because this story truly comes from his heart.

The Film Itself:

ONE MORE CHANCE is a student film about Taylor, a sensitive college student, learning that friendship isn’t about fitting in or looking perfect—it’s about being real. After bombing her final presentation, she stumbles upon a strange device that rewinds her life—resetting awkward classroom moments and even throwing her into a surreal face-to-face with a prehistoric human. Through this journey, Taylor discovers that true connection can cross time, language, and even fear—and that the only way forward is to accept herself as she is. This film reminds us that being human isn’t about perfection, but about honesty, presence, and the courage to reach out.
