One Million Step March
For some reason, about a year ago, I got into my head that I could walk 1 million steps in one month (32500 a day!). With 2 dogs to walk I generally get in my 10 thousand steps a day, so over 31 days I would only need to triple it (and add a little bit) to manage 1 million steps in a month. At the end of last year something awful happened to a friend of mine. I won't go into detail as it's not my story to tell, but there was a charity that did a lot of good, so I have decided to do this mad challenge in the month of March, to raise money for them.
You may notice this page was published 6 days into March, and that's because after a test day of trying to do 32500 steps in a day, I genuinely thought there was no chance I was going to be able to do this, however, 6 days in, I'm still on target to do it, so it's time to make it public, which will only further my determination to complete it. There is no pressure to donate, but if you do have a little spare change, this is a great charity to support.
